3. Data We Collect

When you use Finansito we collect:

• Account email and authentication data — when you sign up and log in
• Expense entries — amounts, categories, dates, and notes you enter
• Savings goals — targets and progress you set
• User preferences — e.g. currency, timezone
• AI requests — prompts and related data used to generate insights
• Billing data — processed via Stripe for Premium subscriptions; we do not store full card details

4. Data Processors

We use the following third-party processors to operate the service:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Stripe — payments
• OpenAI API — AI insights
• Vercel — hosting infrastructure

Each processor has their own privacy and data processing terms. We choose providers that implement appropriate security and, where relevant, standard contractual clauses or other safeguards.

5. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to provide and maintain the Finansito service (expense tracking, dashboards, savings goals, AI insights), to process Premium subscriptions, to send important service-related communications, and to improve the product and ensure security. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Legal Basis (GDPR)

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process your data on the following bases:

• Performance of a contract — to run the app and provide the features you use
• Legitimate interests — for security, fraud prevention, and product improvements, where balanced against your rights

7. International Transfers

Some of your data may be processed outside the European Economic Area (EEA) by our processors (e.g. OpenAI, Stripe). Where we transfer data from the EEA, we rely on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or other mechanisms permitted under applicable law to ensure an adequate level of protection.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Restrict processing in certain circumstances
• Request data portability where applicable

You can exercise many of these by using the app (e.g. editing profile, expenses, goals). For other requests, contact us at support@finansito.net. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country.

9. Deletion Requests

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@finansito.net. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable time and remove your personal data from our systems, except where we must retain it for legal or legitimate operational reasons.

10. Retention

We store your data only for as long as necessary to operate the service and fulfil the purposes described in this policy. When you request deletion or after your account is closed, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, subject to legal or operational retention requirements.

11. Security

We protect your data using modern security practices, including encrypted connections (e.g. TLS) and secure storage. Access to your data is limited to what is necessary to operate and support the service.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of Finansito after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
